Not too long ago, we had a client come in and his question was whether or not we could take his divorce case on a contingency basis. Meaning, we would take a percentage of whatever he got out of the divorce. The simple answer to that question is no, we can’t. There are certain laws in the State of Arizona that prohibit us from doing that, so no we can’t take any cases on a contingency basis.
